How to Adopt

KIDS: Zachary F

Bio:
Zachary is an adorable five-year-old boy with sandy blond hair and eyes lined by striking long eye lashes ……Oh, and watch out for that laugh—it’s completely contagious! Zachary truly does have the desire to please and be liked, evidenced by the big smile that lights up his face whenever he is encouraged or praised.  Zachary enjoys many activities and engages well, especially when he is one-on-one with an adult.  Some of his favorite activities include playing with his legos, trying on funny hats, Thomas the Train, watching television, and eating his favorite foods.

The hope is that Zachary will be placed with a loving family that that has the skills/background, time, and heart to advocate for a developmentally delayed child with the special needs that accompany mild mental retardation and some emotional disabilities. Zachary has the ability to be successful in a home with a family that can provide a caring environment that is structured, supervised, and supportive.  His potential for success will increase even more if his future family has a good network of professional and non-professional supports within their community.  Any potential adoptive parents who feel they might have a place in their hearts and home (as well as the skills/willingness to learn) are highly encouraged to inquire about more information.

Zachary truly is a beautiful, friendly, and precious young boy that requires patience, time and loving dedication from a family that he can love and call his own forever.  There is no doubt that he will be a wonderful and irreplaceable addition to his future family.

"I thought I would have to work at getting Zach to loosen up and enjoy being photographed. But Zach had a radiant smile and his eyes sparkled when he laughed at my bad jokes. And he loved being photographed. He loved the attention.  Ultimately, the reward was mine for having met him."
