The goal is simple: take professional,
heart-reaching portraits of our state's most vulnerable children in foster
care and find forever homes for them. Arizona Heart Gallery is an
all-volunteer organization. The Heart Gallery concept started in New Mexico
in 2001 and now includes at least 43 states, with some states experiencing a
50% increase in adoptions of foster children. In the words of one Arizona
case worker, "People truly can make that first connection with a child
through a photograph, and that draws them into inquiring."
